CERTUS Technology Inc. Introduces A New Family Of Compact Scalable Architecture (CSA) Systems Beginning With Two Independent Pentium III(R) Servers In A 1U Rackmount Chassis.
SAN DIEGO, CA -- (INTERNET WIRE) -- 01/29/2001 -- CERTUS Technology, based in San Diego, has developed an architecture that doubles the density of the common 1U server by fitting two fully configured
and independent servers within the dimensions of a 1U chassis. It’s ideal for data centers where ISPs, ASPs, other hosting service providers, and regional collocations require dense computing
solutions.
CERTUS Technology announces the release of the Split U 1200GX(SU1200GX), a powerful, compact and scalable architecture (CSA), which contains two servers in a 1U rackmount chassis with built-in
remote system monitoring.
The SU1200GX is equipped with a Pentium(R) II/III processor, up to 2 GB PC100 SDRAM, AGP Video, Dual-10/100 Base-T Ethernet controllers, Dual ATA/33, Dual-Channel Ultra II/III SCSI controller and
more. Monitoring is accomplished by the System Safe Guard (SSG), a stand-alone Internet server which monitors vital system parameters to ensure high availability. Monitoring software is included and
consists of a very user-friendly, OS-independent Java application. A single SSG monitors voltages, temperatures, fans, intrusion, and software watchdog plus more in up to 120 connected systems.
Independent alarm conditions can be configured to provide email notification. The SU1200GX is available with Microsoft 2000(R), Redhat Linux(R) or other operating systems upon request.
“CERTUS Technology provides high density server solutions that allow for 24/7 availability at an economical price,” stated Tom Rittmaster, CEO of CERTUS Technology. “CERTUS will continue to
develop technologies and solutions for the increasing demands of high performance servers.”
