We’re excited to share that Certus is now a member of the Global ITAD Alliance (GIA), connecting us with organizations and professionals from across the global ITAD industry.

For us, becoming a member is mainly about being closer to the industry we work with every day. It gives us another opportunity to connect with ITAD companies, recyclers, refurbishers, IT asset managers, and other technology professionals, exchange knowledge, and learn more about the challenges they encounter in practice.

Those conversations are important to us. Understanding what is happening within the industry, where new challenges are emerging, and what organizations need helps us continue developing our solutions. The insights and inspiration we gain through the GIA network can therefore also contribute to ideas for future Certus products and developments.

Sharing Our Own Knowledge

At the same time, we want to use our presence within the GIA community to share what we have learned over more than 25 years in data erasure. Securely managing data throughout the IT asset lifecycle involves more than simply deleting files. Organizations need to understand what happens to data when devices are reused, resold, redeployed, or recycled, how data can be securely erased, and how that process can be verified and documented.

Through the GIA network, we hope to introduce more IT professionals to Certus, but also to share practical knowledge about secure data management, data erasure, compliance, and the role these topics play throughout the lifecycle of IT assets.
